The Team
Neuroscientists and engineers building an open-source platform for embodied AI.
Dr. Christopher Harris
Founder & CEO
Neuroscientist (PhD, Sussex) and former PI at Backyard Brains, where he created the SpikerBot — an open-source neurorobot using the same disaggregated intelligence architecture that powers Plexus (Harris et al., 2020). NIH postdoc in systems neuroscience, studying how neural populations encode spatial information and drive goal-directed behavior.
Dr. John Griffiths
Scientific Advisor
Dr. John Griffiths is Head of the Whole Brain Modelling Group at CAMH's Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
His work bridges abstract computational models and biological reality, focusing on the mathematical modelling of large-scale neural dynamics.
Tetiana Medetska
Lead Hardware Engineer
Specializes in SMD PCB design. Developed the Plexus PCB through four revisions, solving WiFi-induced voltage sag, UART/GPIO conflicts, and motor driver noise.
Ongoing focus: Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to transition from prototyping to cost-optimized global sourcing.
